Kim Meneses with the Ft Osage School

Kim Meneses is a National Board certified Art educator at Fort Osage High School. Kim has led her students in a multitude of Service Learning projects – such as on campus installations/murals from positive messages in the restrooms to a mural in the bus barn providing a cheerful and welcoming environment for the bus drivers everyday. Other projects include: Two mural paintings at the Kansas City Zoo, Painting 500 pairs of shoes for Elementary students at 2 District Elementary schools, murals at the local animal shelter, city electrical boxes, and popular photo backgrounds around the high school. She has personally painted numerous murals in our community and values service learning projects for students.
Kim went into art education after working 10 years for Hallmark Cards, Inc. Her enthuasism is illustrated daily providing students with opportunites to explore who they are as an artist while strengthening their technical skills. Kim is the sponsor for the National Art Honor Society at Fort Osage High School. The NAHS student President, Hailie Ferguson, is assisting Mrs. Meneses in organizing 14 of the NAHS Art students to paint the KC Heart.
