Socorro Reyes Ramirez

Socorro Reyes Ramirez is originally from Veracruz, Mexico. She studied Visual Arts at the Universidad Veracruzana, where she specialized in illustration and visual narrative. She is a lover of art history and nature, which is captured in all her work. Illustration, murals, painting, sculpture, article design, and accessory design are her favorite media. Her illustrations have been exhibited in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, France, Italy, Spain and, of course, the USA. Her exhibitions have included three solo and more than 20 collective presentations. She has had the honor of illustrating 3 printed books. Her artwork has been selected in different catalogs such as Conaculta in Mexico, HICHAE in Las Vegas, and in the catalog of illustrators of the University of Palermo in Argentina. She has also given guest lectures at various educational institutions, including the University of Kansas. As a muralist, her work is displayed in 15 locations across the KC area. In 2022, she opened Carocha Creative Studio where you can see more of her work, her latest collaborations with other artists, and enroll in her art classes.
