Buzzworthy

Besides sharing a city across state lines, Kansas and Missouri have something else in common, our state insect, the honeybee. Isn’t that just the bee’s knees?! If Kansas City is the hive, and its citizens are the colony, we should work together not just for our individual survival, but for the greater good of all who live here. There is much to be learned from the bee, where everyone has a purpose and anyone can belong. Sunflowers are recognized as being warm and inviting. The bee represents hard work and community, and honey symbolizes sweetness and prosperity. All are featured on this art piece and were chosen to highlight the roles of importance each characteristic play in making the bee-autiful communities of KC stronger.
