City of Fountains
Water is the thing that connects us all. The fountains give us a place to gather and connect and celebrate and honor our city's historical legacy. So the design of my heart celebrates that. It has kind of a splashy water droplet design on the front. And then on the back, it conveys the feeling of movement of water up through the base, out through the top. The color palette was influenced by the Country Club Plaza's Spanish revival design, with a little bit of a mid-century twist to it. I believe that people are not only connected by their thirst for water, but for connection. Fountains provide us a place to come together and offer a confluence of the themes, of connection. Everyone has a place to feel celebrated and honored and seen and heard.
