Grow Together
This design emphasizes the need to embrace and take care of our KC green spaces. It also functions on KC’s growth and appeal by incorporating literal growth of live plants. The surface would be painted in a faux stone look with gold pattern accents. Plastic planters would be sliced in half and attached to the exterior of the heart as well as holes cut and planters inset into the heart. Utilizing living hearty native plants, viewers would watch the plant growth happen over the spring and how that changes the design over time. Research would be done into which plants would be the most resilient and require the least amount of maintenance as spring is the ideal time of year for this design.
