Heart Deco

Kansas City’s Art Deco architectural buildings are one of my favorite things about the city, and something it’s also well known for. It’s an ode to KC’s rich history as well as being beautiful and unique. I wanted to really let that shine, while also bringing in one of my other favorite built features–the fountains, which bring movement to every corner of the city in the summer. This heart is an ode to a city with a deep history that is still bursting with life and always changing.

Kansas City’s Art Deco architecture occupies a special place in my heart. At its foundation, the style represents a faith in progress and a commitment to craftsmanship . In this piece, I wanted to elevate those Art Deco ideals, alongside our city’s iconic fountains — both bringing a unique sense of life and movement to a city that looks forward.
