It Takes a Village

The concept for this heart is to literally unite members of the community in the painting of the heart, each person adding their handprint to the statue to create a layered rainbow effect on the heart. Painting parties will be announced through social (or other news) media inviting the community to participate. The events will be hosted by the designer (Laura) and participants can select a paint color and—guided by Laura—add their handprint on an area of the heart corresponding to her design vision. The K and C letters will be painted to look like marquee lights, as well the edge of the base.
