Our Coastal Friends

My heart is a tribute to the Kansas City Zoo’s new Sobela Ocean Aquarium. With 650,000 gallons, 34 habitats, and 8,000 animals, the aquarium is a fantastic new asset to KC. It brings a bit of the ocean to us so that everyone can have the chance to experience the wonder and importance of our oceans. The heart features sea creatures at the aquarium and native along our coasts, such as Sea Otters, giant Pacific Octopuses, sharks, and more. I hope my heart encourages people to visit these fantastic animals and learn more about them.
