Stitched Together

View ArtistKnowing that the Garment District has such a rich history, this design honors it by using crochet and cross stitch as part of the design. One side depicts the KC laid on top a pattern of granny squares. Although we may feel separate from each other at times, we all have that common thread in Kansas City that ties us all together. On the opposing side is a traditional cross stitch pattern of Home Sweet Home with a depiction of Union Station and Kansas City’s founding year. I wanted to add the cross stitch pattern because of how homey it feels and how it relates to how at home I feel in this city.
