- NEW AMENITIES COMING THIS YEAR! The City is working with a small business owner in downtown to turn a vacant lot into a city park! The project, we are calling the Centennial Park Expansion, will build a splash pad, public restrooms, and a mid-block crossing between the existing parking lot and Oak Street in the 100 block of Oak. The City is using Capital Improvement Fund dollars we had set aside for a park project for several years. This is a public-private partnership that will provide the amenities we know our community wants in a great downtown location! Construction will start in May 2026 and be finished in fall 2026!
