Power of Perspectives Art Competition Exhibit & Awards Reception
Power of Perspectives returns in 2026! Join the Raymore Arts Commission for the third annual art competition this spring. The exhibit and awards reception will be Friday, April 17, from 6-8 p.m. at Centerview, 227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, MO.
Competition categories are 1) Painting, 2) Drawing, 3) Photography and 4) Mixed media/Sculpture/Other. Competitors can win cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category. Entry fee: $10 fee per entry or 3 entries for $25. Maximum entries: 3.
Awards & Exhibit: Friday, April 17 6 p.m. at Centerview. Complimentary snacks and cash bar available.
Application deadline: 11:59 p.m., April 8
Art turn-in is Thursday, April 16 at Centerview, 227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, MO.
About the competition: The Raymore Arts Commission presented its first art competition in 2024. The Power of Perspectives art competition invites artists from around the area to share the way they see, imagine and experience the world through their artistic talents. The spirit of this event is to bring artists and people together as a community while respecting the individuality and perspective that each person brings to the table. The Arts Commission firmly believes art is vital to our quality of life and our goal is to help members of our community experience and appreciate the arts. The power of perspectives can be unassuming, but when people come together with respect and admiration for each other’s differences, its power is endless.
