Beer Me, KC
"Beer Me, KC" is a bold, light hearted tribute to the city that knows how to raise a glass. This piece embodies the spirit of Kansas City; warm, welcoming, and always down for a good time.

I'll make this short. I was born on a sweltering day in July. Lightning struck on a cloudless day, and a thunderous voice proclaimed: "Here ye, here ye, 27 years from this day you will fill your heart with something you love.” That's when I knew I wanted to sculpt a beer can for The Parade of Hearts in 2026. I am a creative from KC, trained in Industrial Design at The University of Kansas. I work as a designer for Dimensional Innovations, so the concept part came naturally. I have a background in carpentry and limited sculpting experience. Building this sculpture was a long, laborious process with many mistakes, but I learned many lessons. I couldn’t have finished this project without the help and guidance of my friends and colleagues at DI: Scott Seetin, Dennis Butt, Chris Bohatyritz, Miles Colunga, Erick Bachmann, and Matt Espy, to name a half-dozen. I love to make a positive impact on people's lives day-to-day using my skills as a designer. I hope this heart will do just that. Please reach out and connect if you share my passion or if you would like to collaborate with me. Thank you to The Parade of Hearts organization for this monumental opportunity to fulfil my destiny. CHEERS!
