Celebrating a KC Treasure

For 125 years, the American Royal has been a beloved tradition in Kansas City. As a tribute to its rich history and the countless opportunities it has brought to our community, the Parade of Hearts has commissioned this special artwork.

Championing food and agriculture, the American Royal welcomes nearly half a million youth and adults from around the world to Kansas City to engage in high-quality events and experiences like the world’s largest barbecue competition, livestock shows, regional and national equine shows, youth and professional rodeos, and elementary and secondary education outreach.

In honoring the American Royal’s 125th anniversary, we embrace its vision of a world where food and agriculture are celebrated, and all generations are committed to its future.
