Great Plains, Trains, and Automobiles

The heart symbolizes Kansas City's transportation history and growth. The circles on the back of the heart represent the vital role KC played in the westward trails, and how the development of the trading posts, led to the growth of towns and cities. The inner circle references the railroads, flight innovation, and the significance of bees and native plants. The artwork aims to inspire reflection on the city's past and the natural beauty of the Heartland, reminding viewers of its historical roots before urbanization.
