My design is inspired by the Kansas City skyline and Union Station. The view of the city from the Liberty Memorial is painted in a style that combines both Impressionism and Fauvism motifs embodying thick brush strokes meant to emphasize texture. The pastel color palette adds vibrance to the city. My design is meant to be a fun and colorful adaptation of this classic scene.

Tracy Kapperman
I am a 27 year old female mixed media artist born and raised in Kansas City. I graduated from UMKC with my bachelor's degree in Art Education. I have worked as an art teacher for charter schools in Kansas City and still continue to do so. I discovered my love for painting as a child and continued to make a career out of my passion for art making. I am inspired by nature and the female form. My work consists of bright and pastel colors in conjunction with thick and texturized brush strokes.
