I am a KC artist, my work is mostly in acrylic paint but I also work in digital graphic design. I have been lucky enough to be twice selected to create a heart for POH! I have loved every minute of the process this project brings. My submission this year is a bit more fun (my last 2 were more realistic in design). I approached this design to really utilize the new shape around the open center heart. Trying to utilize everything it represents - a love for KC - a love for KC sports and a love for what is the heart of KC! This will be a multi media execution, paint brush, airbrush and stencil look. The colors are a close representation of all of KC....with text circling the outside.
