The Heart of the Story

On the front, a silhouetted figure reads peacefully in Loose Park as the Kansas City skyline and KC Wheel rise behind them, evoking the excitement and wonder that books can inspire. The back side leans into fantasy, with a winding path, a mysterious door, and a white rabbit guiding the way—a nod to Kansas City’s new children’s literacy museum, The Rabbit Hole, and the magic of childhood imagination. Hanging in the heart’s center is a lantern filled with twinkle lights, representing how stories illuminate our lives and help us find our way, no matter where we are.

Artist Spotlight

Ivey Zoellers

"I am a Kansas City–based painter and art educator whose work celebrates the beauty of local wildlife through bold color and expressive brushwork. Trained in Painting and Art Education at the University of Central Missouri, I co-own A to Z Artistry, a private art school in Lee’s Summit dedicated to nurturing creativity in others. Inspired by the interconnectedness of nature and symbolism in the animal world, my art invites viewers to connect more deeply with the ecosystems that surround and sustain us. "
