I have been a student and lover of the arts all my life. Attending private watercolor classes for many years, I began painting largely in watercolors. I did commissioned work and sold my art in bookstores while my kids were young. Life got very busy, and I was unable to pursue my love for art in the way I would have liked for some years. In 2013, I went back to school at the Kansas City Art Institute. As a result, I expanded my skill set to become proficient in acrylic painting, and mixed media art. In 2017, I completed a mixed media painting that was displayed in the KCAI gallery for several months. I also enjoy Photography and often capture our beautiful city in photos to display, and use as perspective references for my paintings. I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing project for Kansas City. I plan to cultivate my skills and love for art in all its forms, for many years to come.
