The Night the Rabbits Danced With the Moon

This piece celebrates the quiet, joyful connection between nature and the human experience. Echinacea reaches skyward like a child seeking comfort, while rabbits dance beneath the moon’s phases, full of curiosity and play. Black and white with touches of orange, the work invites viewers to feel wonder and remember that all life—plants, animals, humans, and celestial cycles—is interconnected, growing and changing together.

While I did not grow up in Kansas City, I have resided here for almost 5 years and am now working and raising my family in Lees Summit. My primary form of artistic expression is through digital illustration and acrylic painting. My work uses inspiration from children’s storybook illustrations as well as folk art to represent the natural world around me.
