The trades of Kansas City inspired me for this piece because they have built many of the buildings that I believe are at the heart of Kansas City. These tradespeople are a huge part of our community. They show up every day to create safe spaces for thousands of complete strangers. This piece exhibits all of the different roles that aid in the construction of our city.
