Artist Spotlight
Monica Robles
Born and raised 17 years in The Bronx, as the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I observed so much from so many angles of bustling daily life in New York City. With this, I constantly tried (and still try) to step in other people's shoes, see the world from where they're at. This is part of why my absolute favorite forms of art are comics, caricature, murals, and animation - forms of art that are also accessible to the public, and especially young people (proven by my time growing up in the graphic novels section at the library!).
