The World’s Heartstrings
The World’s Heartstrings features a painted world map composed of hundreds of colorful, people-like figures, forming a mosaic of humanity that replaces borders with community. A swirling musical staff wraps around the heart, connecting continents and figures, with color-coded notes embedded throughout. These notes correspond to eight tone pipes suspended inside the heart’s opening, which can be played by hand, inviting viewers to reach out and tug at the world’s heartstrings.
